The program has experienced growth and change over the years. . . much of it due to receiving comments from students, faculty and mentors. Comments from each team member are valued highly - so please provide us with an assessment of what was good, bad and so-so about participating in the DESIGN CHALLENGE.

2. What difficulties or challenges did you face in participating this semester?

3. How did the funding meet your project needs? Was it generous, or not enough?

4. What do you aim to do with your project results? Do you plan to seek a patent?

5. Has your mentor or sponsor indicated an interest in "picking up" or using your design or results? If so, has
she/he indicated the use intended? Will further testing commence?

6. Did you pursue entering a National Competition with your project? If so, what were the results? If not, what
prevented you from taking the project to a National Competition?

14. The DESIGN CHALLENGE is funded by a NASA grant that must be renewed, with justification, each year. If
you were writing justification for continued funding for this program next year - - what would you say?


WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE DESIGN CHALLENGE SHOWCASE


1. What did you think of the DESIGN CHALLENGE showcase? Was it an appropriate way to showcase your project?

2. How did you like the "Meet, Greet, Bowl and Eat" dinner? How was the food? How did this semester's dinner
[at Space Center Houston] compare to last semester's [at the Bowling Alley]?

3. How would you rate the South Shore Harbour Conference Center? How was your room? Any problems?

4. Please comment upon the presentation location, set-up, timing, food, awards. Criticisms?

5. Do you think the range of awards adequately represents the work undertaken? Or do you feel just a few top
awards would be more appropriate?

6. Do you think the event should stay as is as a one-day event - - or do you think it should span two days?

7. If you participated / attended last semester's Showcase - - how do you think the two compare?
