DESIGN CHALLENGE deadlines are set to correspond as best possible with the typical academic schedule posted for Texas institutions of higher learning. Deadlines noted for completing Level I, II & III milestones constitute "complete participation." Option Areas offer teams an opportunity to "add on" to the design experience and earn scholarship funds. Levels I, II & III have specified deadlines, while Option Areas may be completed at any time during the semester. All TSGC DESIGN CHALLENGE submissions are due by midnight on the date specified for completion.

This semester's deadline schedule is presented below. The maximum TSGC budget allowance for participating teams is $800 [contingent upon the team meeting the milestone deadlines specified for each Level + Travel Grant]. Detailed information regarding satisfactory completion is available for each milestone in the Design Team Notebook.

 

BASE LEVEL Design Brief electronic entry	Accepted: January 7 - 18 Design Briefs will be accepted ONLY during the time frame specified. Incomplete submissions must be corrected by the midnight on the final day of the submission period. Additional teams will not be accepted after the deadline has passed. Topics are assigned on a first come / first served basis.
LEVEL I Design Project Proposal or Semester II Statement of Work	Deadline: Monday, February 11 Due by midnight on the deadline day - all teams.
LEVEL II Mid-Term Report w/ Draft Power Point Presentation or Semester II Statement of Work	Deadline: Monday, March 10 Due by midnight on the deadline day.
LEVEL III Final Design Presentation and Final Report	Presentation Deadline: Monday, April 14 [tentative] Final Report & Evaluation Deadline: April 30 Final Reports will be accepted through April 30 Design Challenge Showcase: April 14th [tentative]
OPTION AREAS I, II, III	Deadline for Activity & Report: April 30th May be completed anytime during the semester. Reports must be attached as Appendix to the final report. For award consideration, the activity must be concluded and report submitted by April 4th.
TRAVEL GRANT	Deadline: April 30 Team Trip / Travel reports must be attached as an Appendix to the final report.
