DESIGN CHALLENGE deadlines are set to correspond as best possible with the typical academic schedule posted for Texas institutions of higher learning.

Deadlines noted for completing Level I, II & III milestones constitute "complete participation." Levels I, II & III have specified deadlines.
Option Areas offer teams an opportunity to "add on" to the design experience and earn additional project funds. Option Areas do not have specified deadlines; they may be completed at any time during the semester.
All TSGC DESIGN CHALLENGE submissions are due by midnight on the date indicated for completion.

This semester's timeline and desdline schedule is presented below.


BASE LEVEL Design Brief electronic entry	Accepted: January 9 - January 23, 2012 Design Briefs will be accepted ONLY during the time frame specified. Incomplete submissions must be corrected by the midnight on the final day of the submission period. Additional teams will not be accepted after the deadline has passed. Topics are assigned on a first come / first served basis.

LEVEL I Design Project Proposal Team Photos Avenues for Collaboration Established	Deadline: midnight, February 20, 2012 Due by midnight on the deadline day - all teams.

LEVEL II Mid-Term Report w/ Draft Power Point Presentation Team Mission Patch Scholarship Forms	Deadline: midnight, March 19, 2012 Due by midnight on the deadline day.

LEVEL III Final Design Showcase Presentation Final Technical Report Program Evaluation	Presentation Deadline: April 15, 2012 in Houston, Texas Final Report & Evaluation Accepted: December 1st - 10th, 2011 Design Challenge Showcase: April 14 & 15, 2012

OPTION AREAS I, II, III	Deadline for Activity Completion & Report: * For Showcase Award Consideration: Midnight - April 5th, 2012 for Showcase Consideration - Otherwise no later than May 18th, 2012 For Team Funding Consideration: December 1st, 2011 ** All three Option Areas must be completed by December 1st, 2011 in order to qualify for Scholarship $$ Match ** Option Areas may be addressed/completed anytime during the semester. Option Area Reports must be attached as Appendix to the final report - regardless of when they have been completed. Option Area/Scholarship $$ Match is available to those teams who complete all three Option Areas satisfactorily by the final deadline.

TRAVEL GRANT	Deadline to submit Team Travel & Expense Report: No Later than May 18th, 2012 Team Travel and Expense reports should be attached to the Level report in which they take place. All travel documentation should be finalized and attached as an Appendix to the final report. A Long-Distance Travel Grant is available to teams who must travel 300 miles or more to the Showcase location.

CONSTRUCTION GRANT (Second Semester Teams Only)	Deadline to submit supporting documentation to qualify for a Construction Grant: No Later than May 18th, 2012. Second Semester teams only.
