The Effects of Varied Hydrophilic
and Hydrophobic Coating Techniques and Inner Surfaces On Fluids in a
Microgravity Environment
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
This experiment will demonstrate the fluid property of hydrophilic
attraction and the relation to surface tension. The study will determine
the amount of control that can be exerted passively over a system of
fluids. Using results acquired from a previous flight aboard the KC135,
the experimenters would like to concentrate further study on a fewer amount
of containers. The containers that will be used are those that produced
the most successful data and those that warranted further study. The
containers will vary in shape and coating patterns.
