Texas Space Grant Consortium Teacher Newsletter
Volume: 2, Issue: 8a - Special Announcement
Date: 04/11/2000

This week teams of students from High Schools across the state of Texas are floating above the Gulf of Mexico while performing experiments on NASA's KC-135a. NASA plans to videostream these flights this week AND the four flights planned next week to accommodate the Community College Campaign teams.

The tentative flight (and broadcast) schedule is as follows (all times are approximately 9:30-11:00 AM CDT and may vary according to weather/mechanical conditions):

Drop in on the NASA videostreaming web site, which may be accessed via a link on our Fly High and Community College web sites, or by going directly to http://www.tsgc.utexas.edu/lists/teachers/links/ii/08/link_12.html

Also, rumor has it that the downlink signal will also be broadcast on Direct TV each of the remaining flights . . . sorry, but I don't know how to tune that in (but I think it involves a secondary transponder for NASA-TV, if that information is useful to anyone).
