ACADEMY CENTERS

The Academies at each NASA Center will have different areas of focus: Space/Aerospace (NASA Academy), Robotics, Aeronautics, Lunar and Planetary Science, and Propulsion. The Academy opportunities are listed below:

[NOTE: "Leadership" is a common attribute in the Academies, not restricted to the Space Academy]

Space Academies with a broad interdisciplinary focus on Space/Aerospace coupled with science, engineering, technology and commercial ventures

Aeronautics Academies have additional emphasis on Integrated Systems Research, Project Management, and Multi-disciplinary Collaboration

The Multidisciplinary Aeronautics Research Team Initiative (MARTI) replaces the ARMD Aeronautics Academy at four centers, including Ames, Armstrong, Glenn and Langley.

Applications for all four centers for the summer of 2016 are open and due no later than February 16, 2016. US Citizens only; minimum rising junior in college through second year graduate study; GPA 3.2 or above; desire to work in Aerospace; engineering disciplines and related disciplines should apply. THIS IS NOT PART OF OSSI OR THE NASA EDUCATION PROGRAMS. It is an Aeronautics Research Program for students who want to experience the multi disciplinary research environments at NASA. Questions from interested students or faculty can be directed to Dr. Liz Ward, elizabeth.b.ward@nasa.gov
