Free Climate Change Symposium at JPL
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory Green Club is sponsoring a free, public science symposium about climate change on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Climate scientists with expertise in Earth's atmosphere, ocean and ice will present a series of brief talks on the scientific evidence for global warming. Attendees will learn what they as individuals and as part of society can do to address global warming.
Brief question-and-answer periods will follow each presentation.
This event is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, with a seating capacity of 200. All ages are welcome, but the presentations will be geared to adults. For more information, visit http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/education/index.cfm?page=71.
For those unable to attend the symposium in person, the event will be streamed live at http://www.ustream.tv/nasajpl2.
If you have any questions about the symposium, please contact Sharon Ray at Sharon.E.Ray@jpl.nasa.gov.
