NASA Space Week 2011
Download Flyers: [PDF]

Space Week 2011 is just around the corner and this year’s theme is "Destination: Station." In November 2010, NASA celebrated 10 years of human habitation on the International Space Station (ISS).

NASA will be landing in Austin and the State Capitol on Thursday, March 31. Activities will include educational and interactive exhibits and inspiring speaker presentations highlighting ISS achievements, honoring the Space Shuttle Program and celebrating the future of space exploration. From 9am-4pm, local area Austin public, private and home-schools are invited to bring their students to the capitol to visit educational booths and participate in hands-on engineering activities. The focus this year is middle-school students.

Online registration for schools to attend Space Day 2011 is available beginning February 1.

Registration and more information can be found at: http://www.nasa.gov/centers/johnson/events/sed.html or by contacting Jessica Cejka at jessica.a.cejka@nasa.gov
