From High School to Implementing Ethics on Automated Vehicles

The University of Texas at Brownsville is hosting a free community engagement event for young women interested in science and their families.This event is designed to bring together undergraduate women to mingle with young ladies in secondary school and below. Our goal is to let these normally distinct groups interact with each other as part of a special presentation on science and one young woman's journey towards her PhD in physics.Our special guest speaker is Sarah Thornton from Stanford currently pursuing her PhD. She will be speaking on her journey and the interesting future science she is developing as part of her education.Her presentation is titled "From High School to Implementing Ethics on Automated Vehicles".The event will be held January 18th at 2:30 PM in the Gran Salon (Student Union) on the University of Texas Brownsville campus.The event can be found on Facebook.
