Well, one thing's for sure: we're all students
at the University of Texas
Rica French is a
doctoral candidate in the Department
of Astronomy. She holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Middle
Tennessee State University and a master's degree in astronomy from
UT-Austin. Her Ph.D. research focuses on the intrinsic properties of open
clusters, which are groups of hundreds to thousands of stars that are
gravitationally bound and believed to have formed at the same time, in
the same place, from the same material. In addition to placing some constraints
on the liklihood of planets having existed in these systems, this work
may help refine general theories of stellar evolution. Rica serves as the
Team Leader of the 2003 Longhorns In Space.
is a sophomore majoring in Radio-Television-Film

Dan Knight is a lecturer
