Well, one thing's for sure: we're all students at the University of Texas at Austin.

  • Rica French is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Astronomy. She holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Middle Tennessee State University and a master's degree in astronomy from UT-Austin. Her Ph.D. research focuses on the intrinsic properties of open clusters, which are groups of hundreds to thousands of stars that are gravitationally bound and believed to have formed at the same time, in the same place, from the same material. In addition to placing some constraints on the liklihood of planets having existed in these systems, this work may help refine general theories of stellar evolution. Rica serves as the Team Leader of the 2003 Longhorns In Space.
  • Trisha Hanley is a sophomore majoring in Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin. She hopes to make the first feature-length film shot entirely in space.
  • Dan Knight is a lecturer in the Department of Radio-Television-Film. Dan serves as the Team Supervisor of the 2003 Longhorns In Space.
  • Marcie Longoria is a junior pursuing a degree in Radio-Television-Film. She has worked on various film and television productions. Currently, Marcie produces a music magazine show called SEE on KVR-TV which tapes local and touring bands in Austin, Texas.
