I see and I remember.

"REACH"

(Requires Windows Media Player)

This video clip is effective communication. It employs several powerful metaphors to convey a more memorable and meaningful (to the general public, anyway) message than either Presidents Kennedy or Bush did in their speeches.

It evokes an emotional response, including a pleasant bodily reaction like a smile, maybe even a rushing sensation in the solar plexus and, for some, a quiet "Wow!" to the lips.

Moreover, this clip operates autonomously, is easily transportable, and is understood effortlessly and effectively by a wide range of audiences, anywhere and anytime, regardless of the level of prior space exploration knowledge.
