Mir has been in orbit for over 10 years, and staffed continuously for the past seven years. The current Mir Space Station is actually a complex of different modules that have been pieced together. It consists of the Mir core and the Kvant, Kvant 2, Kristall, Spektr, and Docking Modules. The Mir Space Station floats above us (390 Km, at an inclination of 51.6 degrees) having completed to date over 71,300 trips around the Earth. It measures more than 107 feet long with docked Progress-M and Soyuz-TM spacecraft, and is about 90 feet wide across its modules.
