Astronaut C. Michael Foale appears to be enjoying his transition to cosmonaut guest researcher as he is assisted into his Sokol space suit by cosmonaut Vasili V. Tsibliyev, Mir-23 commander, onboard Mir's base block. Foale is replacing NASA astronaut Jerry M. Linenger on the crew, as the Russian and U.S. space agencies continue their joint activities in space which will carry into the International Space Station.
