Abstract:
We propose to investigate fluid behavior in micro-gravity, emphasizing the development of the liquid-gas interface. An apparatus is designed for the testing of these concepts on board the NASA 930 facility. The Vessel for Observing Interface Behavior (V.O.I.D.) makes an ideal educational tool and provides the opportunity to perform two distinct experiments. The first provides a new measurement technique for contact angles. The second provides a feasibility test for future cryogenic experiment on board the aircraft.
