Calina Seybold

Calina C. Seybold graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering in December 1990. She is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the Sigma Gamma Tau aerospace engineering honor society, and the Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honor society. In Fall 1991 she entered graduate school at The University of Texas at Austin, completing her Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering in May 1993. She is currently working toward a Doctor of Philosophy degree.

The Texas Space Grant Consortium (TSGC) hired her as a graduate research assistant in September 1991. Since joining TSGC, she has devoted her time to outreach projects, including curriculum development consultation, science/math career fairs, and student/teacher workshops. Some of the programs she has worked with are Minority Introduction to Engineering (MITE), Careers in Engineering for Women (CEW), Hispanic Mother-Daughter Program (HMDP), and Expanding Your Horizons (EYH). In addition, she publishes SATURNews, a semesterly newsletter mailed to teachers and program managers who have participated in TSGC activities. Ms Seybold is available to help teachers locate resources and give classroom presentations.
